About Me:
Tawab ParYah is a Hebrew Soul Singer/Songwriter born and raised in Pasadena, California – currently residing in Los Angeles. Sister ParYah started writing in various forms at the age of 8 years old – she realized it was a passion very early on in life.
She grew up in a strict Christian household where only gospel music was allowed. Fred Hammond, J. Moss, Mary Mary, Yolanda Adams, CeCe Winans etc. were in constant rotation in her household. By the age of 18, having been in multiple music groups, Tawab believed music was something the Most High wanted her to do as a ministry and service to Him.
In 2015, Sister ParYah was introduced to the Hebrew community and culture to which she embraced as she began incorporating her new found knowledge into her music. Her mission and goal is to provide our nation with a righteous alternative to the worldly R&B/NeoSoul genres, and with a sound that resembles Ms. Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott, and Angie Stone – Sister Tawab fuses Hebrew culture with the soulful sound that we all love!
