About Me:

I am BritYah, born December 27th, 1994 in Riverside, CA. I was raised in the IE San Bernardino/Moval/Riverside. I grew up a Jehovah’s Witness, but religion confused me because most of my family was on drugs, alcoholics, gang members, and some in prison. Most of my family members were musicians as well, but the strongholds held them back from reaching their true potential. Praise Yah that I had a mother who tried to keep us away from that through learning the word. However, I soon fell away from religion and reading the word overall. Music became an outlet and escape from my environment along with basketball. With little to no access to music equipment, I used some scholarship money from basketball to fund my own studio. I was fueled with a passion for music so I started selling Cd’s on the streets with my brother.

After graduating college I went to play Professional Basketball overseas, but it didn’t work out for me. I was relying on basketball to provide for me, rather than Yahuah Yireh. Never understood that until now. I ended up homeless, I became depressed, started partying, drinking, I was engaging in homosexuality, and finally I ended up in jail with 14+ years in a federal prison on the table.

I got on my knees and prayed in that cell, at the time not knowing the Fathers name, but just asking “If you exist, can you please get me out of this?” Stating to him, “I promise you I will change my ways.” Yahuah got me out with no charges and all I had to do was keep a job and stay away from drugs, arrests, etc.

After that I started seeking. Reading books, changed my diet, started exercising. Reading a lot of these books I eventually realized all of the wisdom and knowledge was taken from scripture, they just weren’t giving credit where it was due. In the midst Yahuah began to reveal Himself to me through the Word. He revealed to me that I was a Hebrew. He helped me realize my sin condition and I began a lifestyle of repentance and righteousness. I told Abba, I will give up this music, I’m done (what I was creating at the time was worldly).

But then one day in the recording studio He had me write a song called “Authority”, I began to feel His presence heavy and broke down in tears in the studio. After that experience I knew Yahuah was calling me to minister through music and ever since, I’ve dedicated all that I do to Him, The Most High, El Shaddai. I give Him all Praise, Honor, and Esteem for saving my life and for giving me true purpose and life through His son Yahusha Ha’Mashiach. HalleluYah
