About Me:
Joy Lester is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is a ‘Preacher’s Kid’ from a large family who, on occasions, would be requested to sing before her father brought the message to the congregation. As an adult, her gift of music opened doors for her to hold the position as worship leader of a predominantly Spanish-speaking church. Joy also sang professional background vocals for award-winning and world renowned gospel artist, Marvin Sapp.
Her passions include writing songs from scripture and creating poetry. She has a desire to use her voice as a mighty weapon to pull down strongholds according to 2 Corinthians 10:4;
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through Yah to the pulling down of strongholds”.
She is a wife, mother, and grandmother, who currently resides in Florida where she and her husband minister to teenage boys.
My Awakening
I was awakened 2020, when Covid-19 started. I liken it to 2020 Vision… I received my sight. But to be honest it started early in life, I just didn’t know it. As I look back I do know without a shadow of a doubt, I was being prepared for my awakening, for such a time as this. I am so Grateful to YAH for wooing me to know who I am.
My name is Joy Ann Lester; I am first and foremost a daughter of the Most High King! I am a Pastor’s wife, Mother of 4 Children and 11 beautiful grandchildren; I am a worship leader, song writer, and poetry creator. My Husband and I were members of a predominately Spanish Church where he was the Assistant Pastor and I was the worship leader. We were called out of the Church, and stopped pagan Holidays way before my awakening. When we left the Church we started a Home Church, which we did for a couple of years then we decided to go back into the Church, which was our last time, we couldn’t do it anymore!
Now here is why I said that my awakening started years before I knew; it started as a little girl through my Mother… My Father and Mother pulled us out of the Church and began to have Church in our home, we stopped celebrating pagan holidays, although back then it was never explained to me in depth of why , only that they were pagan. My Mother never called herself a Christian, she called herself a born again believer. I believe if we had Social Media back then, my parents would have started using the Most High’s Name, as well as Yahusha.
So when my Husband brought this to me, the seed was already there! I quickly submitted and stopped celebrating Pagan Holiday’s but we still celebrated Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day we thought those were ok. I later found out when I came into the truth that those days are Pagan as well. I did more research when I came into the truth. I will stop here, I plan on doing a video with my testimony.
I am so amazed at YAH, how my awakening started early, I just didn’t know it. I thought my awakening started in 2007, but I now realize, it started when I was a little girl. The seeds were planted, and now in 2020, I am tree planted by the rivers of water, which now brings forth fruit in my season! HalleluYAH
